From October through December of 2025, 2,158 homes were sold in the county, with sale prices around averaging $763,750. This is a 1.5% decrease from the $775,000 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 2,172 homes sold.
Based on the latest available data from 2023, the median property tax on homes in Contra Costa County was $6,535, which equates to 0.9% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2025.
