Danville property owners paid property taxes totaling 0.7% of their home values during the fourth quarter of 2025, which amounted to less than 0.8 times the national effective rate, BlockShopper.com reported.

Data shows that 115 Danville homes sold in this period had a median sales price of $1,700,000. For 2025, the typical tax bill for local homeowners was $11,598, equaling 0.7% of the median assessed value.

The average national effective property tax rate was 0.888% in 2024.

East Contra Costa (Unincorporated), Oakley (Unincorporated), and Crockett (Unincorporated) recorded the highest rates in Contra Costa County.
