Mark DeSaulnier, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, used his social media platform on October 31, 2025, to inform constituents about healthcare enrollment and discuss recent town hall events.
In a post dated October 31, DeSaulnier announced the start of health insurance open enrollment: “Covered California Open Enrollment for 2026 plans begins tomorrow, November 1st. As Republicans continue to try to raise the cost of premiums, Democrats are working to protect your care. You can sign up for, renew, or shop for new health insurance plans. For more information,”
Later that evening, he addressed issues discussed at a local event: “At last night’s town hall, I spoke with @KTVU and @NBCBayArea about the devastating impact of the Trump Administration illegally withholding already approved funds to feed hungry Americans during the shutdown. Mark DeSaulnier has represented California’s 10th District in Congress since succeeding George Miller in 2015. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors from 1994 to 2006, in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2008, and in the California Senate from 2008 to 2015. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently residing in Concord, DeSaulnier holds a BA from College of the Holy Cross.
