Mark DeSaulnier, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues ranging from tributes to public service, condemnation of violence in the West Bank, and criticism of U.S. policy toward Cuba.
On March 23, 2026, DeSaulnier published a message recognizing the career and character of Robert Mueller: “Robert Mueller volunteered to fight for his country in Vietnam, led the FBI with integrity, and dedicated his life to public service. The following day, March 24, DeSaulnier addressed recent developments in the West Bank: “I strongly condemn the spike in settler violence in the West Bank. So far this year, 25 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers, as the Israeli government presses ahead with new illegal settlements in the West Bank. I have consistently expressed opposition to the”.
Later on March 24, he commented on U.S.-Cuba relations: “The U.S. blockade against Cuba is strangling its economy, collapsing its energy and health care systems, and endangering millions of innocent people as Trump plays geopolitical games. My thoughts are with the people of Cuba as it faces a worsening humanitarian crisis, and I call”.
DeSaulnier has represented California’s 10th District since succeeding George Miller in 2015 and previously served in both chambers of California’s legislature as well as on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently resides in Concord. DeSaulnier earned his BA from College of the Holy Cross in 1974.
