Mark DeSaulnier, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account between April 5 and April 7, 2026. The tweets included both holiday greetings to his constituents and pointed criticism of the President of the United States.

On April 5, DeSaulnier shared a message for Easter: “From my family to yours, Happy Easter! Wishing all who celebrate in CA-10 a joyful day and time spent with loved ones.”

Two days later, on April 7, DeSaulnier addressed recent statements made by the President. He wrote: “This is an explicit call for mass war crimes by the President of the United States. In the face of this evil and madness, every member of Congress should be calling for his removal from office based on the 25th Amendment. He is a danger to America and the world.”

Later that same day, DeSaulnier continued his response: “I join my @HouseDemocrats colleagues in calling on Speaker Johnson to bring the House back into session immediately as the President threatens to commit war crimes tonight. All members of Congress – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – must work together using every tool”

Mark DeSaulnier has represented California’s 10th District in Congress since replacing George Miller in 2015. Before joining Congress, he served in several roles including as a member of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors from 1994 to 2006, in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2008, and in the California Senate from 2008 to 2015. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently residing in Concord at age 71, DeSaulnier graduated from College of the Holy Cross with a BA in 1974.
