Mark DeSaulnier, who represents California’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared significant updates through social media, focusing on topics from electric vehicle infrastructure to postponed constituents’ meetings.
On May 1, DeSaulnier announced on Twitter, “At yesterday’s @TransportDems hearing I introduced several amendments, including one to support funding for EV charging infrastructure. Later that day, DeSaulnier shared that the Environmental Town Hall initially scheduled for May 3 would be postponed. He remarked, “Unfortunately, we have to postpone the Environmental Town Hall slated for May 3rd. We’ll get it back on the books as soon as possible, so stay tuned for more info!” (source). This event was intended to engage constituents in discussions about environmental concerns, emphasizing its significance in his legislative agenda.
In a subsequent tweet on the same day, DeSaulnier expressed his concerns about recent budget discussions in Washington, D.C., stating, “This week in DC, my committees started the next step in the Republicans’ process of slashing the budget to pay for tax breaks for big corporations. Tune in to hear more about that and my thoughts on President Trump’s continued reckless actions that are raising costs for the” (source). These comments reflect ongoing debates over fiscal policies and their impacts, highlighting DeSaulnier’s critical stance on proposed tax breaks and related budgetary adjustments.
