Mark DeSaulnier, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, recently shared updates on his legislative priorities and district activities through a series of posts on social media.

On September 2, 2025, DeSaulnier announced his support for a measure aimed at compelling a vote in the House to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. He stated, “I look forward to signing on to this measure that would force a vote in the House on releasing the Epstein files. I hope my Republican colleagues will join me.”

Later that day, he reflected on recent constituent engagement during the District Work Period, noting his participation in numerous events across California’s 10th district. DeSaulnier wrote, “This District Work Period was one for the books! Our team hosted 4 town halls, and I attended more than 20 community events across CA-10. I am excited to bring all the questions and concerns I heard from constituents back to Capitol Hill as we begin this legislative session.”

In another post that evening, DeSaulnier criticized former President Donald Trump’s use of National Guard troops for immigration enforcement in Los Angeles. He asserted, “President Trump broke the law by sending National Guard troops to carry out immigration enforcement in Los Angeles. Full stop. We will continue pushing against his authoritarianism in the courts.”

DeSaulnier has represented California’s 10th district since succeeding George Miller in 2015 and previously served in both chambers of the California legislature as well as on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently residing in Concord, DeSaulnier graduated from College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974.
