The posts covered topics including National Small Business Week, recent events within his district, and the anniversary of landmark legislation for individuals with disabilities.
In one post from May 8, DeSaulnier shared memories from his time as a small business owner: “This National Small Business Week, I’m thinking back to my days running TR’s in Concord. The days were long, the work was hard, but the experience was incredibly rewarding. Thanks to all the fantastic small businesses in the East Bay that sit at the heart of our communities.”
Another tweet later that evening summarized his activities throughout California’s 10th district: “I spent the week around CA-10 including a town hall in Lafayette, site visit at the Concord Immigration Court as it prepares for an influx of cases, and celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Act. Mark DeSaulnier has served as U.S. Representative for California’s 10th District since 2015 after succeeding George Miller and previously held positions on both local and state government bodies including Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and both chambers of California’s legislature. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and now residing in Concord, DeSaulnier holds a BA from College of the Holy Cross.
