Mark DeSaulnier, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, recently shared updates on his community engagement and legislative priorities through a series of posts on social media.

On August 15, 2025, DeSaulnier posted about visiting a local event: “I stopped by the farmers market at Rossmoor to connect with residents and enjoy live music.” Later that evening, he highlighted his efforts to maintain direct communication with constituents: “This afternoon I answered the phones at our Walnut Creek District Office to speak directly with constituents. Our team prides ourselves on being responsive to incoming calls and outreach, and I love to be a part of it.”

On August 17, 2025, DeSaulnier addressed concerns about technology companies and child safety: “Mark Zuckerberg continues to put profits over the safety of children through his company’s reckless policies. I look forward to working in Congress to hold social media conglomerates accountable and create policies that regulate AI technology and protect children.”

DeSaulnier has served in Congress since replacing George Miller in 2015. Before joining the U.S. House of Representatives, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2008, served in the California Senate from 2008 to 2015, and was part of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors from 1994 to 2006. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952, DeSaulnier is currently a resident of Concord. He graduated from College of the Holy Cross in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
