Mark DeSaulnier, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district since 2015, recently shared updates with his constituents through a series of social media posts regarding local events and community initiatives.
On May 5, 2026, DeSaulnier informed followers about options to participate in an evening town hall meeting, stating: “If you can’t join this evening’s town hall in person, you can still tune in via livestream at 6:30! For those who are joining us in Lafayette at 6:30, we look forward to seeing you. Facebook: https://t.co/ezLJcox4AW YouTube: https://t.co/M3WSB3bJek”.
Later the same day, he announced support for public safety improvements in Walnut Creek. DeSaulnier wrote on May 5, 2026: “I delivered a check today for $1 million to the City of Walnut Creek to upgrade 120 of their public safety body cameras as part of our 2026 Community Project Funding cycle! These new cameras will promote ongoing transparency, accountability, and community trust in the police https://t.co/S0k48RYikH”.
Reflecting on the previous day’s event at Stanley Middle School in Lafayette, DeSaulnier posted on May 6, 2026: “We had a great town hall yesterday at Stanley Middle School in Lafayette discussing a myriad of recent events including President Trump’s ongoing war in Iran. DeSaulnier has served as California’s representative for the 10th district since replacing George Miller in Congress over a decade ago. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he held positions on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors from 1994 to 2006, served in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2008 and was a member of the California Senate from 2008 until his election to Congress.
He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently resides in Concord.
DeSaulnier graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross in 1974.
