Mark DeSaulnier, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 10th district, has recently shared several updates via social media. His posts reflect on historical commemorations, environmental conservation achievements, and legislative accomplishments for his district.

On December 8, 2024, DeSaulnier noted the annual lighting of the beacon atop Mt. Diablo in remembrance of those who perished at Pearl Harbor. He stated, "Every year on December 7th, the beacon atop Mt. Diablo is lit to honor the 2,403 servicemembers & civilians who died at Pearl Harbor. Today, our office paid tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice that infamous day at the lighting event hosted at Cal State East Bay."

On December 10, 2024, he congratulated the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) on its anniversary of land preservation efforts. DeSaulnier remarked, "Congratulations to @EBRPD on celebrating 90 years of land preservation & environmental conservation! We are lucky to have such pristine spaces in CA-10 for outdoor recreation. Our office joined the celebrations today to recognize the past 90 years & look to the future."

Later that same day, DeSaulnier highlighted significant achievements from a bipartisan water resources development act benefiting his district. He expressed pride in these accomplishments by stating: "Proud to deliver big wins for CA-10 in 2024’s bipartisan #WRDA: Funding for water infrastructure improvements in CA-10 to enhance water supply during drought Sea level rise study in the Bay & investments in Oakland Harbor Supporting the beneficial reuse of dredged material"
