Mark DeSaulnier, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 10th district, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of tweets. DeSaulnier, who succeeded George Miller in 2015, has a lengthy career in public service, including roles in the California State Assembly and Senate. In an announcement on April 23, 2025, DeSaulnier urged constituents to "RSVP by 2:30 p.m." for a chance to attend a general town hall in Lafayette held that evening. The message highlighted the urgency for interested parties to reserve a spot for the event.

The following day, DeSaulnier detailed his meeting with local leaders, stating, "I sat down with @CityofOrinda leaders today to discuss the priorities of Orinda residents and federal funding opportunities for community projects in the upcoming appropriations cycle." He expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to him by Orinda officials, emphasizing cooperation for local development.

Additionally, on April 24, 2025, DeSaulnier reflected on his personal experience as a cancer survivor in a tweet. He noted, "As a survivor of stage four cancer, I know the value of personalized and holistic cancer care planning and of a supportive community." DeSaulnier participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Cancer Support Community facility in Lafayette, reinforcing his commitment to healthcare advancement in his district.
