Orinda Union Elementary School District's schools enrolled 2,511 students in the 2022-23 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.8% of them were boys, and 48.2% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 55.6% of the Orinda Union Elementary School District's total enrollment.

Orinda Union Elementary School District covers five schools within Contra Costa County with its main office in Orinda.

Among the five schools in Orinda Union Elementary School District, Orinda Intermediate School recorded the highest enrollment of 832 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
