Judge Issues Limited Temporary Restraining Order in City of Lafayette v. PG&E, Halting the Cutting of 17 Trees

Today, the judge presiding over the City of Lafayette v. PG&E case (Adv. No. 20-03124) issued a limited temporary restraining order that halts PG&E’s removal of 17 trees at the heart of a matter in which the City contends that PG&E failed to comply with a 2017 Tree Removal Agreement in seeking to cut down the trees.

The trees in question are located within the City of Lafayette on East Bay Regional Park District property.

Judge Dennis Montali of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California issued the limited temporary restraining order and will schedule a follow-up hearing to be held later this week.
