Mark DeSaulnier highlights advocacy efforts and community involvement

Mark DeSaulnier, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 10th district, has been actively involved in various community and legislative efforts. His recent social media posts highlight his ongoing advocacy and participation in local events.

On February 19, 2025, DeSaulnier shared his long-standing commitment to advocating for individuals incarcerated at FCI Dublin. He stated, "For years, I advocated on behalf of people incarcerated at FCI Dublin who were subjected to unconscionable abuse and deplorable living conditions, which culminated in the necessary closure of the prison with the Bureau of Prisons deeming it too dangerous and uninhabitable for..."

The following day, February 20, 2025, he tweeted about participating in a celebration hosted by the Army Recruiting Center in Pleasant Hill. DeSaulnier noted that "Our office had the pleasure of joining the Army Recruiting Center in Pleasant Hill in celebrating 12 years of service to the community."

Later on February 20, 2025, DeSaulnier visited the Valley Oak Respite Center in Danville. During this visit with @alzncnv, he met with Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers to discuss federal legislation aimed at advancing Alzheimer's research and support. He shared this experience by tweeting: "I visited the Valley Oak Respite Center in Danville along with @alzncnv to meet with people living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers and discuss recent federal bills that would drive progress on Alzheimer’s research, care, & support."
