Mark DeSaulnier, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 10th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. His recent tweets address concerns about federal administration policies and highlight his efforts to engage with constituents via alternative platforms.

On February 6, 2025, DeSaulnier criticized the president for "baselessly attacking California," particularly in relation to the Los Angeles fires. He stated that the president was "exploiting tragedy by erroneously blaming our water management" and directed readers to expert opinions contradicting the president's claims. "The president is again baselessly attacking California, this time exploiting tragedy by erroneously blaming our water management for the LA fires."

Later that day, DeSaulnier commented on aviation safety following a collision in Washington D.C., calling such tragedies "unacceptable." He emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong workforce at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and criticized recent actions by the Trump Administration. "While American aviation is among the safest in the world, tragedies like the DC collision are unacceptable and we can always do better."

On February 7, 2025, DeSaulnier expressed concern over ultrawealthy donors having significant influence in the new administration. To ensure broader communication with his constituents, he announced joining Bluesky as an additional platform for sharing updates from his office while continuing to use X. "Ultrawealthy donors have a front row seat in this new Administration."
