Mark DeSaulnier, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 10th district, has recently shared his perspectives on several issues through a series of tweets. These posts reflect his stance on social security, labor rights, and workforce development programs in California.

On March 5, 2025, DeSaulnier criticized the President's statements regarding Social Security. He asserted that "During his speech last night, the President lied about Social Security, falsely claiming millions of dead people are receiving Social Security checks." He accused Republicans of wanting to cut the program and described the President's remarks as an attempt to facilitate such cuts.

Later that day, DeSaulnier emphasized his commitment to labor rights. In a tweet posted on March 5, 2025, he stated "As a proud former union member, top Democrat on the Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee... I’m fighting to protect every worker’s right to organize free from intimidation & retaliation and to stop illegal union-busting."

On March 6, 2025, DeSaulnier addressed workforce development programs in California during an Education and Workforce Committee hearing. He highlighted their impact by saying "I spoke about how in California workforce development programs have reduced the number of young people in juvenile hall and expanded opportunities for underrepresented groups like the disability community." He advocated for increased federal investments in these initiatives.
