Mark DeSaulnier, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 10th district, has expressed his opposition to recent political developments through a series of tweets. DeSaulnier, who has been serving in Congress since 2015, took to social media to discuss issues related to funding bills and federal employment policies.

On March 13, 2025, DeSaulnier stated in a tweet that he spoke with KTVU about his decision to vote against what he described as an "extreme, partisan funding bill" proposed by Republicans. He criticized the bill for allegedly providing "a blank check to President Trump and Elon Musk" while taking from middle-class Americans to benefit the ultrawealthy. "I spoke with @KTVU about why I voted against Republicans’ extreme, partisan funding bill that gives a blank check to President Trump and Elon Musk to take from middle-class Americans to give more tax breaks to the ultrawealthy."

Later on the same day, DeSaulnier highlighted concerns over actions taken by President Trump and Elon Musk regarding essential services. In another tweet posted on March 13, 2025, he claimed that Medicaid and Social Security were being targeted for cuts in favor of tax reductions for billionaires. He invited constituents to share their concerns and promised updates on his efforts alongside House Democrats. "In the last month alone, President Trump and unelected DOGE head Elon Musk have targeted Medicaid, Social Security, and other essential services Americans rely on in order to make way for tax cuts to billionaires."

In a subsequent tweet on March 13, 2025, DeSaulnier addressed the issue of mass firings within federal employment carried out by the Administration. He noted that these actions were deemed illegal by a judge who ordered that all affected employees be reinstated immediately. Quoting Judge Alsup's remarks on the situation as "sad," DeSaulnier emphasized the need for accountability in such matters. "The indiscriminate mass firings of thousands of federal employees carried out by the Administration are illegal, and today, a judge concurred."
