Mark DeSaulnier, a Congressional representative serving California’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress since 2015, has shared his views on several key issues through a series of tweets. DeSaulnier, 71, has had a long-standing career in public service, having held positions within the California State Assembly, California Senate, and the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors.

On April 7, 2025, DeSaulnier marked World Health Day by voicing concerns about global health initiatives. He referenced the millions of individuals benefiting from the USAID grants intended for diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV. He further criticized "The Trump Administration’s unilateral and reckless efforts" to presumably undermine these health efforts.

On April 8, 2025, DeSaulnier addressed economic issues in the United States related to the minimum wage. He highlighted the struggle of full-time workers who still cannot cover basic living costs. He criticized the 15-year stagnation of the minimum wage in contrast to rising living expenses and shared his involvement in legislative efforts "to introduce" measures alongside Senator Bernie Sanders to address these disparities.

Later on the same day, DeSaulnier participated in an Aviation Subcommittee hearing where he expressed concerns about President Trump’s trade tariffs. He cautioned about the potential repercussions on trade logistics—including the movement of goods by various transport modalities—and emphasized that "These tariffs will raise costs for businesses and Americans across the" country.
