Mark DeSaulnier, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 10th district, has expressed his views on recent events through a series of tweets. DeSaulnier has served in Congress since 2015 and has previously held various positions within California's state government. His social media posts provide insight into his perspectives on current issues.

On January 30, 2025, DeSaulnier commented on the impact of the President's actions affecting programs like cancer research and Meals on Wheels. He stated, "As someone who sits in front of you because of cancer research & as a son whose mom used to benefit from Meals on Wheels, I can’t comprehend the inhumanity behind the President’s action that upends these programs & many others that Americans rely on. But I’ll fight it."

Later that day, DeSaulnier addressed a tragic incident involving a midair collision in Washington D.C., expressing his condolences and commitment to follow up on the investigation as part of his role with the Aviation Subcommittee. He tweeted, "I’m deeply saddened by the midair collision in the DC area & my thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. As a member of @TransportDems Aviation Subcommittee, I'll be closely following the investigation into how this happened & urging action to prevent future tragedies."

On January 31, 2025, DeSaulnier thanked participants for joining his first town hall meeting of the year both physically and virtually. The focus was on discussing actions taken by the new administration and strategies for preserving personal freedoms and democracy. He wrote, "Thanks to all who joined our first town hall of the year tonight both in person and via livestream to discuss the actions of the new Administration and the path forward to preserve our personal freedoms and democracy (1/2)."
