Representing his constituents since 2015, DeSaulnier took to the platform to communicate his appreciation for California's natural beauty, express gratitude on Earth Day, and discuss the importance of direct communication with his constituents.

On April 21, 2025, DeSaulnier tweeted about California's rich natural heritage. He remarked, "Here in California, we’re lucky to be surrounded by incredible National Park Service sites that are stewarded by hardworking park rangers. From the Eugene O’Neil Historic Site and John Muir House right here in CA-10 to the colossus of Yosemite and otherworldly scenery of Joshua." This statement underscored the unique and significant natural landmarks present in California.

Mark DeSaulnier succeeded George Miller in representing California’s 10th District. He has also served in the California State Assembly, the California Senate, and the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. DeSaulnier was born in 1952 in Lowell, Massachusetts, and currently resides in Concord.
